Dr. Weiss is a clinical and health psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.  After receiving her Ph.D. from York University, she was a staff psychologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, in the Bariatric Surgery Department and the Respiratory Rehabilitation Unit, before deciding to focus on her private practice full-time in the summer of 2013.  She has held past psychological positions at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, in the CBT for Depression Unit and the Anxiety Disorders Clinic; at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, in the Mood Disorders Unit and the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre; and at the Eating Disorders Unit (both in-patient and out-patient) at the Toronto General Hospital.  Dr. Weiss has published numerous papers in academic journals and has been involved in government-funded research grants. Dr. Weiss has a strong interest in Reproductive Health, particularly in terms of working with people struggling with infertility, prenatal concerns, anxiety over labour and delivery, and postpartum anxiety and depression.  Dr. Weiss also offers supervision to psychotherapists in the community.  Please inquire for more information.
